Tourist tax and register
Tourist tax,calculated for every stay.
With BnBFlow, the tourist tax is calculated automatically for every booking, using the rule you set on the property: a fixed amount per night, per guest per night, per guest per stay, or a percentage of the accommodation rate. Guests can pay it online at check-in, and at month end you download the tax report and the guest register as PDF or CSV.

01How it works
Set the rule once. The tax takes care of itself.
For every booking, from any channel, the tax follows the same steps, from the calculation to the monthly report.
- Once
You set the rule
Per property: the calculation method, the local rate, how many nights are taxed.
- At booking
The tax is calculated
From the nights of the stay and the number of guests; you can correct the count.
- At check-in
The guest pays
By card, with the registration form or later, from the stay page.
- On arrival day
Access goes out
Optionally, the access code goes out only once the tax is paid.
- At month end
The report is ready
The tax for every stay, with the period total, as PDF or CSV.
02Calculator
Work out the tax for a stay. With the app’s own rules.
Pick your locality’s calculation mode, enter the amount and the stay, and the tax appears with its formula: exactly how BnBFlow calculates it for every booking.
Tax for the stay
45.00 RON
Formula
3 nights × 3 guests × 5.00 RON = 45.00 RON
You’ll find the amount in your local council’s decision. The starting amount is only an example; the calculation rules are the app’s own.
03The local rule
Your local rule, set on the property.
The tax belongs to the locality, not to the channel. You set it on each property, and for hotels once, on the building. Enter the local rate once; the amount is calculated for every guest.
- A fixed amount per night or per guest per night
- A fixed amount per guest per stay
- A percentage of the accommodation rate
- Children counted or not, following the local rule
- A maximum of taxed nights, where only the first nights are taxed
- Ana Popescu3 nightsRON 20.70
- Mihai Popescu3 nightsRON 20.70
04Online payment
The tax is paid before arrival.
Guests see the tax when they fill in the check-in form and pay it by card, right away or from the stay page. The money goes to your bank account, linked to the booking, and an invoice can go out for the amount collected.
- An automatic reminder the day before arrival, if the tax is unpaid
- A notification for you, so you can decide before the guest arrives
- Tax marked as collected on site or exempt, with the reason noted

06FAQ
About the tourist tax and the register.
Didn’t find your answer? Message us — we reply the same business day, the next one at the latest.
Message us on WhatsAppHow does BnBFlow calculate the tourist tax?
You set the calculation method your locality requires on the property: a fixed amount per night, per guest per night, per guest per stay, or a percentage of the accommodation rate. BnBFlow applies the rule to every booking, using the nights of the stay and the number of guests.
How much is the tourist tax where my property is?
Each locality sets its own rate, and it can change from one year to the next. Check the rule in force with your local authority; in BnBFlow you enter it once, on the property.
Can guests pay the tourist tax online?
Yes. With online collection turned on, guests see the tax when they fill in the check-in form and pay it by card; the money goes to your bank account, and the payment is secured by Stripe. You can choose to release access only after payment; if a guest pays on site, you mark it as collected.
How do I keep the guest register up to date?
In BnBFlow, the register fills in from online check-in: every form signed by a guest goes into the register, with the stay dates. At month end you download it, together with the tax report, as PDF or CSV.
Which plan includes the tourist tax and the register?
The guest report (register and tax report) is an optional module you add to your plan. Online tax collection comes with online payments.
